About FBLA at Diamond Bar High School

Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit education association of hundreds of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. FBLA is the high school level of the organization. Overall, the entire organization is recognized by the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor as an integral part of a co-curricular approach to business and leadership education. The FBLA Mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. We bring our mission to life through the application of our motto: Service, Education, and Progress.

Membership
At DBHS, FBLA is one of the largest student-run organizations on campus with over 250 members! Diamond Bar has a history of having great members achieve great things, and we strive to continue this tradition though Future Business Leaders of America.

Competitive Events Program
FBLA members strive to learn about business principles and procedures in a fun and interactive way. Organized on the section, state, and national level, FBLA members are able to compete with their peers on their knowledge of various business ideas and dealings such as finances and leadership skills. Once regional competitions are carried out at the section level among only a handful of schools during early spring, the highest-scoring members are able to proceed to the State level completion (State Leadership Conference). Finally, if members are successful at the state level, they are able to finish with a bang at the National completion (NLC). This is when members are able to compete at the highest level in the nation amongst their peers. These competitions have the dual purpose of also hosting the elections for student officers at the section, state, and national level. DBHS FBLA is proud to have Greg Gunadi, a junior, serve as our Secretary/Treasurer on the California State board, and Nancy Zhou, a senior, serve as our Secretary on the Inland FBLA Section board.

Conferences and Seminars
Diamond Bar FBLA gives members the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a variety of fields. Through conferences like FBLA’s Leadership Development Institute, workshops presented by professional stockbrokers, lawyers, marketing agents, and even doctors allow members a glimpse into their futures. Through these professional workshops and other opportunities presented to the members by Future Business Leaders of America, members can develop the skills needed to succeed in the professional world.
